In addition to promoting cultural awareness, we are also dedicated to the unification of the Filipino people within the West Michigan community. One of our greatest hopes, is that we can unite our Filipino brethren into a network full of vivacity and pooled resources so that we may reach out to the greater community in very positive and powerful ways. Perhaps in the not-too distant future, PCGoM will be a well established cultural resource for all Filipino-Americans and those of other ethnicities.
Want to Join?
All nationalities are welcome to join our blossoming organization, and especially Filipino’s who are willing to share the richness of their heritage with others. Indeed, other Filipino-American clubs/groups/associates exist; however, we are not officially affiliated with such local groups, such as Filipino-American Club/Associate of Grand Rapids and Lakeshore Area. However, these groups are not mutually exclusive as many members of our organization (99% in fact) belong to such organizations. Again, we hope to be a cultural resource for all Filipino-American initiatives and promote unification of ideas among all who share our vision of cultural preservation, education, and stimulation of cultural awareness within our greater community.
Support in all its forms is greatly appreciated, and first we want to express our sincere appreciation to all of you who have given so much to our organization. For those of you who are not familiar, PCGoM is a federally recognized non-profit organization and follows federal income tax exemption laws under section 501 (c ) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, any monetary contributions to our organization are tax deductible under section 170 (c) (2) of the IRS Code. In addition, we are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under section 2005, 2106, or 2522 of the code.
